Apple announced a bazillion things and we chat about ’em…

This week on the blog

A website called Journalism Now linked to my post about the Zoom H4n Pro. Their post is about how more and more journalists are starting podcasts, and it suggests equipment for them to use. They mentioned how I thought the H4n Pro has crisp and clear sound, but they got my gender wrong:

Tech blogger Sam Mallery noted in her review that the sound quality of the audio is crisp and clear.

THE MUSK ZONE

Musk said some stuff today at the Tesla shareholder meeting.

Apple’s jam-packed WWDC event

Our favorite stuff in iOS 11
-Volume level doesn’t consume the center of the screen anymore!!!
-Siri has more realistic voice, says “sunny” three different ways
-Control Center redesigned to one customizable screen
-AirPlay2 lets you control multi-room audio, like Sonos
-iPhone senses when you’re driving and turns off calls, messages, and notifications
-Apple Maps shows speed limits, has indoor airport maps

The HomePod: Apple’s answer to the Amazon Echo
-Costs $349
-Comes in black or white
-7 tweeters, 1 subwoofer, sounds good
-6 microphones
-Does not support Spotify, but does support Apple Musicapple-homepod-in-room
